Nexus2050, Luxembourg’s premier international tech event held on June 26 and 27, 2024, brought together thousands of innovators, executives and thought leaders to explore the future of technology. With a strong emphasis on the ecological and digital transitions necessary for achieving net-zero strategies by 2050, the event was a melting pot of ideas, featuring over 300 speakers, 150 startups, and 70 exhibitors. Among the highlights of this groundbreaking event stood Sophia, the world-renowned humanoid robot from Hanson Robotics, whose presence symbolized the intersection of advanced technology and human values. 

SpaceR, un groupe de recherche en robotique spatiale du Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) de l'Université du Luxembourg, a été sélectionné le 29 mars pour la finale du Space Resources Challenge de l'ESA/ESRIC. L'objectif principal de ce défi est de caractériser et de localiser des ressources comme l'eau et les métaux à l'aide de mesures in situ et de produire une carte précise d’un petit cratère d'impact situé à quelques centaines de mètres de l'atterrisseur. La salle de contrôle de la mission analyse les images (bandes visuelles et multispectrales) pour établir une première carte des ressources afin de préparer des missions futures.

With science and technology evolving so rapidly, healthcare is being redefined like never before. We have probably seen everything there is, from personalized virtual medical assistants to robotic surgeries. There are constant debates about whether technology is actually improving healthcare or whether it is taking the human touch out of it.
