For months now, we've been telling you about the project to create an NFT by The Dots Luxembourg and the international artist Raphaël Laventure. It's finally here!

Why create an NFT?

The main objective of the project is to make people discover what it is about and to understand this new phenomenon in a playful way.

What will it look like?

Our NFT is a work of art in the form of an animated GIF. It is the first of a series of three works that will be offered for sale during the year 2022.

What does this work represent?

This NFT is a variation of the JOY sculpture created by Raphaël Laventure.

The "HAPPINESS AMPLIFIED" allegorical sculpture features a smiling female face with three butterflies. These flying messengers teach us to consciously transform our lives, to spread our wings in order to be more free and happy. This artwork by artist Raphaël Laventure crystallizes a magical moment: when butterflies land on a face, when happiness finally arrives.

What technology is used?

Our NFT is based on the Tezos blockchain. Its "Proof-of-Stake" protocol is very low energy consuming compared to other players. Moreover, its crypto is easily available for purchase on various exchange platforms.

How much is this NFT worth?

This NFT is offered for sale at a price of 115 tezos (around 200 euros). 352 copies will be created for the complete series, i.e. 100 copies for each of the 3 NFT produced during the year and 52 copies of a 4th NFT. Buyers who collect all 4 NFTs will receive a "special utility token" which will entitle them to VIP privileges and other priorities for the whole year 2023.

An ESG NFT

Beyond the technology used, which is one of the "greenest" on the market, this NFT has the particularity that all associated profits will be donated to a charity that works for the well-being and education around the world.

"I'm thrilled to be collaborating with The Dots Luxembourg for my first NFT collection", says Raphael Laventure. "Even though I still believe that sculpture and physical paintings will remain the norm, it was important for me to start approaching the Digital world in this way. So the choice to collaborate with Kamel and his team came naturally when he approached me".

"What I also liked was the dynamism of the whole team. The fact that a large part of the profits will be donated to a children charity definitely sealed my choice", he adds.

"When I saw the JOY sculpture for the first time, I fell in love with it. Raphaël Laventure's work is simply beautiful and expresses everything we like to share with our ecosystem, which is joy. The fact that an artist of such renown agrees to associate his name with The Dots is a wonderful mark of recognition for us", underlines Kamel Amroune.
