Strategic Adaptation of SAP: Staying Relevant in a Constantly Evolving Technological Environment
Yann Roll I 8:40 am, 9th October
SAP has been present in Luxembourg for over 25 years, consistently demonstrating its commitment to providing robust and innovative ERP solutions for modern businesses. As the technological landscape evolves rapidly, SAP continually adjusts its business model and offerings to meet the changing needs of its clients. We spoke with Bertrand Brackman, Country Sales Manager at SAP Luxembourg, to understand how the company is adapting to these challenges.
How does SAP adjust
its business model and offerings to stay relevant in a constantly evolving
technological environment?
"Over the past 25 years in Luxembourg, SAP has maintained its commitment to providing robust ERP solutions crucial for the effective management of key business processes, from procurement to make-to-order. A major evolution in our strategy has been our transition to cloud solutions. This transformation responds to the growing demand from modern businesses for flexible, scalable, and accessible solutions. By adopting the cloud, SAP enables its clients to benefit from a more agile infrastructure, capable of quickly adapting to market changes and specific business needs.
Integrating the cloud into our solution portfolio enhances our competitiveness in an environment where innovation progresses at a sustained pace. The cloud offers our clients several advantages, such as automatic updates, enhanced security, and the ability to easily integrate new technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Alongside this technological evolution, SAP has rethought its business model and offerings. In an environment where the daily emergence of new disruptive technologies and services is the norm, it is essential to maintain constant flexibility and openness to innovation. We have realigned our priorities to focus our resources on solutions that bring tangible added value to our clients. This reflects our commitment as a strategic partner for businesses, responsible for their long-term success."
How do the events
organized by your company, such as the 'Lunch Series' and 'Inspiration Dinner,'
enrich client relationships and demonstrate SAP's commitment to meeting their
current and future needs?
"The events we organize, such as the 'Lunch Series' and 'Inspiration Dinner,' have a high participation rate, demonstrating the market's marked interest in the topics discussed. These initiatives play an essential role in fostering exchanges on current trends and the challenges businesses face.
The participation of key clients such as Alter Domus, Creos, and CSM Ingredients enriches our audience's experience by providing a practical dimension. Their testimonials and feedback on the benefits gained from our services offer valuable perspectives to other participants, helping them improve their operational efficiency and resilience. These regular interactions testify to SAP's ability to meet its clients' current needs while anticipating their future expectations."
Could you provide
feedback on the Sapphire conference last June, particularly on the AI
innovations you presented and your recent strategic partnerships?
"Our Sapphire conference last June was a great success. This gathering, which brought together industry leaders, technology experts, and clients from around the world, was an opportunity to present our latest innovations in artificial intelligence, highlight our strategic partnerships with major industry names, and announce ambitious projects.
At SAP, our goal is to provide relevant, reliable, and responsible AI. We are talking about 'Business AI,' which we can provide to our clients on a recurring basis and apply to all key business processes. To achieve this goal, we strengthen our capabilities through strategic partnerships with global technology leaders such as NVIDIA, Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft. By collaborating with these giants, we have access to cutting-edge infrastructure and advanced AI services, thus improving our offerings.
The acquisition of ‘WalkMe’, a company specializing in user experience management and process automation, also strengthens our position. This acquisition allows us to offer even more intuitive solutions, facilitating the adoption of technologies by businesses.
The Luxembourg market has reacted very positively to the announcement of our AI innovations and the acquisition of WalkMe. Local businesses recognize the importance of AI to remain competitive and meet the growing demands of the digital economy. During discussions with clients, it became clear that many have already begun to integrate AI into their processes, while others are in the planning and evaluation phase."
The 2024 edition of
your SAP NOW conference just happened; do you have some insights to share with
us?
"SAP NOW Luxembourg took indeed place on October 3, 2024, at the SkyHall of Brussels Airport. This flagship event was a unique opportunity to discover how SAP integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its ERP solutions. With over 40 exhibitors and 80 client testimonials, SAP NOW Luxembourg was a memorable edition.
Participants attended live demonstrations, listened to enriching feedback, and participated in interactive workshops. These sessions helped better understand the impact of AI on business processes and explore SAP's latest innovations.
We welcomed over
1,000 participants, which highlights everything that has made SAP successful
for 50 years."
