How to reconnect IT and the Business
Olivier Spahn, Partner at delaware Belux, opened the conference by introducing Santosh Pandey, CIO at ArcelorMittal, who delivered an enthralling keynote on “Reconciling IT and Business” in response to Olivier’s questions. His speech revolved around people and governance, agile methodology and the tools that can be used. “We all understand that manpower is the most discussed resource nowadays. Humans represent the core of any change management and transformation required in IT and Business”, said Santosh Pandey.
Inspiration Day: Navigating through innovation
The afternoon unfolded as a captivating narrative, splitting its course between the sacred grounds of the Pitch Arena and the enlightening atmosphere of Inspiration Day. Within this intriguing dichotomy, only the pursuit of excellence within the Industry and Fintech sector remained.
During the FinTech session, Euroclear, delaware and GovTechLab shared the spotlight to respectively elaborate on “The Evolution of Data & Analytics in a financial sector”, “how to get started with Quantum Computing”, and “How to simplify administrative procedures”.
Euroclear emphasized that to create value, data needs to be provided in a ready-to-consume state through curated sets and shared insights on implementing a modern data infrastructure based on their journey. delaware focused on ongoing and potential use cases of Quantum Computing and its potential added value for businesses. GovTechLab, alongside delaware, delved into the daunting labyrinth of legislation complexity and Artificial Intelligence’s (AI) potential to minimize its complicatedness.
On the other hand, Plansee Group, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) and delaware took turns to enlighten the audience about “manufacturing processes optimized by AI”, “Trustworthy AI”, and “where sustainability and data intersect”.
While Plansee Group deciphered the AI-outsourcing dilemma, LIST explained what can be considered a trustworthy AI and the liability coming from its usage. Lastly, delaware showed how the ‘Green Data Lake Solution’ can help companies improve their strategy to reach more sustainable grounds.
Pitch Arena: Where startups shape the future
In parallel with those presentations, representatives from various promising startups pitched their projects in front of a first-rate international jury of experts from multiple industries with a clear goal: securing a spot within the Ventures by delaware program.
HealthBlocks, Sfinx and Stryza, presented their ideas for the domain industry in this vibrant setting. HealthBlocks introduced their solution poised to revolutionize health tracking and data sharing. Sfinx, with unwavering conviction, unveiled its vision for access management, while Stryza showcased its ingenious approach to manufacturing.
Venturing into the realm of Fintech, the stage was graced by Datavillage, Gratiago and Maiky, each introducing their solution to reshape the financial landscape. Datavillage, the vanguard of data collaboration, wove its tale to develop a solution to govern and run trusted data without disclosing sensitive information. Gratiago, driven by their passion for healthcare, illuminated the path for a brighter future regarding medical treatment. Finally, Maiky charted a course toward unprecedented transparency in security, an indispensable component of the modern financial landscape.
