LHoFT x The DOTS - Interview Newcomers: IgniSign
LHoFT I 8:25 am, 13th July
In this week's Newcomers article, we introduce IgniSign, an API for electronic signatures that is accessible to developers and applications. We had a conversation with Julien Jenoudet, CEO of IgniSign, who shared insights about the company's origins, unique features, and plans for the future.
1 - Please introduce your company and the products/services it offers.
IgniSign is an API for electronic signatures that is accessible to developers and applications. It offers easy integration, cost-effectiveness, and secure features. IgniSign is compliant with eIDAS, which ensures legally binding signatures. The platform's pricing model permits free development and testing, with payment only for signatures in production, and no upfront commitment. IgniSign's 3 modes, embedded, managed, and full privacy, can suit all types of workflows. Visit ignisign.io to explore and experience it for free.
2 - What led to the creation of your company?
During their search for an electronic signature API that was secure (i.e., eIDAS compliant), easy to integrate, and affordable for their startup (BoardiGO, a governance platform), founders Paul Cayon and myself spent a summer exploring various options. However, they were unable to find a suitable solution and instead decided to develop their own signature using an industrial approach. This unconventional approach led to the development of a patented, innovative techstack and a disruptive product.
3 - What is the most difficult or unexpected thing you've had to overcome on your journey?
The never-ending challenge we're facing is balancing the highest level of security and convenience with lowest possible cost.
4 - How is your offering different from your competitors and other market players?
IgniSign solves the equation with the 3 following variables: eIDAS compliant, easy to integrate and price competitive.
5 - What did you find at LHoFT / What did LHoFT bring you?
The Lhoft is an open-minded and supportive environment which is favorable to innovation.
6 - What's next?
IgniSign intends to shake up the rapidly expanding e-signature market by providing a lean but sturdy technology that offers legally binding e-signatures (eIDAS) as an API at a low cost.
