Deloitte Digital Asset Conference 2025 : How Luxembourg is at the forefront of the industry’s future

Deloitte Luxembourg has announced the winners of the Digital Assets Awards during its Digital Assets Conference (DAC), celebrating pioneers and innovators in the fast-evolving digital assets space. The event gathered over 200 professionals and key stakeholders in Luxembourg and Europe’s digital asset markets on March 25.
“Already in its third year, the conference serves as a prominent meeting point for industry leaders and highlights Luxembourg’s unique strength in boosting digital funds and debt development in Europe, and we are proud to be the enablers of this important gathering. At the same time, Deloitte Digital Assets Awards honour individuals and organizations that have made exceptional contributions to the digital assets’ ecosystem,” said Laurent Collet, Partner at Deloitte Luxembourg.
Award winners
The jury comprising industry leaders from ALFI, ABBL, Luxembourg Blockchain Lab, Luxembourg for Finance, and Deloitte selected three winners based on their innovation, visionary leadership, and significant contributions to the growth of Luxembourg's digital assets ecosystem.
Initiative of the Year
This award honours the most innovative and impactful project in digital assets. The winner has demonstrated exceptional creativity and forward-thinking capacities, significantly contributing to the sector’s advancement.
Winner: Clearstream
Clearstream’s ICSD, Clearstream Banking Luxembourg (CBL), will offer custody services for crypto-assets, through a complete, institutional-grade and regulatory compliant solution for Luxembourg and the European financial ecosystem. By leveraging existing technology, connectivity, and processes, Clearstream’s platform will simplify blockchain and crypto-asset interactions, custodies over €20 trillion in securities, and will settle 1.5 million transactions daily. This solution addresses the high operational costs and complexities of managing private keys and blockchain operations, providing an integrated end-to-end custody service.
Entity of the Year
This award recognizes an entity that has played a key role in driving the growth of the digital assets industry in Luxembourg and beyond, offering exceptional support and tools for success.
Winner: 6 Monks (6M)
6M is an Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) empowering its clients to launch and expand investment funds in the Private Equity, Crypto and Web3 ecosystems within a regulated environment. Driven by an entrepreneurial and pioneering mindset, 6M deploys secured end-to-end processes and delivers a complete and scalable solution fully located in Luxembourg.
Personality of the Year
The award celebrates an individual who has made a notable impact in the digital assets space, demonstrating leadership, innovation and influence, and fostering growth in this sector.
Winner: Emilie Allaert
Emilie Allaert has been
instrumental in transforming Luxembourg’s digital asset ecosystem. As a
passionate advocate for Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), she has
co-authored five influential whitepapers on market trends and launched
Luxembourg Blockchain Week to bridge industry innovation with regulatory
frameworks. In her role as an educator, Ms. Allaert managed the DLT curriculum
at the Digital Learning Hub, educating professionals and raising global
awareness. She founded Digital Minds to guide DLT adoption and holds advisory
roles to integrate blockchain into Luxembourg’s financial landscape. Through her
initiatives in the Luxembourg House of Web3 and the renown ALFI association, Ms.
Allaert is positioning Luxembourg as a leading hub for digital assets.

conference
Among conference
highlights was a discussion between Nadia Manzari, Founder of Manzari Legal and
Kevin Demeyer, Director at Deloitte Luxembourg, focusing on the unique
opportunities provided by Luxembourg’s legal framework under the Blockchain Laws
IV, recently adopted in December 2024. The conversation explored how these laws
are paving the way for new perspectives and business opportunities,
particularly in the fund industry, further solidifying Luxembourg’s position as
a leading player in the digital assets market.
The event also featured a
panel discussion including Tom Duff Gordon, Vice President of International
Policy at Coinbase, Kristjan Coklc, Vice President of Network Management of
Clearstream, Nicolas Baeyens, Head of Authorisation Division at CSSF, and Coralie
Billmann, Managing Director at Circle France. Moderated by Giulia Pescatore,
Senior Manager at Deloitte Luxembourg, the discussion provided insights into
the deployment of the new European Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation
and discussed emerging business opportunities surrounding the multiple uses,
and services such as trading and custody of cryptocurrencies and
stablecoins.
