Sofia Pogrebynska is the IT and Cloud Officer at PayPal, responsible for technology services and cyber risk in the region. With nearly a decade of experience in Fortune 500 companies, she gradually progressed from hands-on technology roles to an IT Officer capacity, driving large-scale innovation, governance, and oversight. A key highlight of Sofia’s career is the launch of international Privacy platform delivering high-load, customer-facing solutions for individual privacy right, serving over 400 million customers globally. Her expertise also includes overseeing financial-grade cloud migrations, ensuring compliance and resilience in highly regulated environments. Sofia is an active thought leader in cloud security, serving on the Leadership Council at the Cloud Security Alliance. She holds a CRISC certification, is a Certified DORA Practitioner, and has a master’s degree in Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics. A lifelong learner, Sofia is currently pursuing an executive qualification in GenAI for Business Transformation at HEC Liège Luxembourg.
