Sébastien Respaut appointed as Microsoft Luxembourg Country Lead

Microsoft is thrilled to announce that as of January 1st, 2023, Sébastien Respaut is the new Country Lead for Microsoft Luxembourg. “Like Microsoft, I am convinced of the incredible growth potential of the Luxembourg market”, says Sébastien. Marijke Schroos, General Manager of Microsoft Belgium and Luxembourg, is very pleased with the appointment of Sébastien. “I really look forward to working with Sébastien. I’m convinced that together, we will embark on a great journey in Luxembourg.”
Luxembourg is a unique, dynamic and strategic market, booming with digital and sustainable ambitions. That’s why Microsoft went looking for someone with the required experience in the market. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that Sebastien Respaut is joining our team.
Sebastian has more than 15 years of experience in the ICT market in Luxembourg. He started his career as software developer, where he delivered on several IT strategic assignments and digital projects within major companies. Working with various customers in the financial industry and the public sector, he gained a wide range of experiences in the market.
The past 8 years, Sébastien was country manager of Atos, driving multiple strategic transformations, leading the integration of several acquisitions, and defining and executing local sales strategies resulting in profitable growth over the years.
Strong customer relationships
Sebastien is thrilled to join the Microsoft family. “As a technology enthusiast, Microsoft has always been part of my life. The past decade, I was really impressed by the agility shown by this large corporation in its strategic choices and its capacity to reinvent itself and how it has built strong and long-term relationships with customers.”
Marijke Schroos, General Manager of Microsoft for Belgium and Luxembourg, is delighted that Sebastien joins Microsoft. “I am very excited to welcome Sébastien to our Belux team. He is the right person to continue our growth in Luxembourg. He brings a wealth of insights about the Luxembourg market and will be driving the Luxembourg team towards new opportunities. While welcoming Sébastien I also want to thank Jean-Benoit Van Bunnen for the great work he has done in Luxembourg acting as ad interim country lead until Sebastien joins.”
Sébastien will continue building on the successes of his predecessor Candi Carrera and the Luxembourg team. “I know how successful the Luxemburgish team is in promoting Microsoft as an essential player on the market and I’m planning to foster new ideas, bring my experience, and learn from all of my new colleagues to drive innovation and generate business value for our customers and partners.”

The official project launch of Dataspace 4 Health (Dataspace4Health) was announced, a groundbreaking open ecosystem designed to revolutionise secure and compliant health data exchange in the country and beyond. This innovative initiative aims to transform healthcare by leveraging the power of data while fully adhering to EU regulations and Gaia-X standards. It aligns perfectly to the national and European digital strategies. This collaborative project is led by NTT DATA, Hôpitaux Robert Schuman (HRS), Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH), the University of Luxembourg, Agence eSanté, Luxembourg National Data Service (LNDS) and is co-financed by the Ministry of Economy of Luxembourg as part of Luxembourg’s national Gaia-X strategy.
