LU-CIX welcomes one of the most important players of the ICT place: Amazon Webservices

LU-CIX ASBL, the Luxembourg Internet eXchange Nod, gathering most of the ICT ecosystem in its community, is now welcoming as a new member, Amazon Webservices (AWS).
Launching its first offering in 2006 as a pioneer in the field of cloud computing, Amazon Webservices has seen strong growth and established itself as world leader. Joining LU-CIX helps AWS to become more intertwined and involved in the local Luxembourgish market. It allows a global player to connect and collaborate with the other global and local players, bring the extensive range of services, experts and expertise acquired in many fields to Luxembourg to support the drive with regards to the digitalization and modernization effort within the country.
“With AWS, LU-CIX reached a new record in terms of number of members in our community. We can only be proud of being trusted by so many key players form the national and international IT & ICT sector.” explains Frédérique Ulrich, Head of Business Development & Marketing at LU-CIX ASBL.

We expect this membership to bring diversity and opportunities for more collaboration, especially the year when the Luxembourg Internet Days event partnership with the USA to strengthen oversees joint efforts” states Claude Demuth, Chairman of LU-CIX ASBL.
Indeed, AWS participated at the Luxembourg Internet Days. They went on stage with Theodora Ciungan, EMEA engagement Security Lead, Security for a keynote speech entitled Build Securely at scale - AWS Security Best Practices and Culture" They were also present with a booth and a range of interesting prototypes from the Luxembourgish Prototyping Lab. Participating to LU-CIX main event of the year will be the first step for AWS to fully integrate the community.
