Lëtz talk about cybersecurity with Marc Ludwig
Cybersecurity Luxembourg I 12:06 pm, 7th October
Pascal Steichen, CEO of SECURITYMADEIN.LU had an inspiring chat with Marc Ludwig, Teacher at Lycée Guillaume Kroll, in charge of the very new BTS Cybersecurity.
Marc Ludwig is the proud teacher responsible for the very new BTS Cybersecurity at Lycée Guillaume Kroll. This 2-year programme, freshly launched in September 2021, welcomed 14 excited students.
After 15 years in the media industry, where Marc Ludwig was responsible for infrastructure security, and giving evening IT courses at the Chambre des salariés, it was just a natural move for him to take on this new challenge that links education and IT.
From his several years in the corporate world, he is able to bring expertise and experience to his students, by explaining them with concrete stories why they need to spend time on things that seem “boring and theoretical” at first.
Cybersecurity field is developing so fast that Marc Ludwig and the teaching team wanted to make sure that the new BTS programme would follow that pace. They relied on external partners and asked the market about the needs, sought profiles and topics to be discussed in the classrooms. A part of the teaching team is also made of professionals, who are able to identify the talents that will join their teams in the near future. A win-win combination for everyone.
The programme is divided into 5 main pillars:
- 1/ Technologies & operating systems
- 2/ IT networks
- 3/ Technical part of security (firewalls, penetration testing, etc)
- 4/ Governance, management, frameworks
- 5/ Business skills (how to explain a technical thing to a manager, job interviews preparation, etc)
Calling all cybersecurity specialists willing to share their expertise with the young professionals of tomorrow & everyone willing to take on a cybersecurity career to join the adventure at Guillaume Kroll!

by ESET I 10:27 am, 7th May
