Nexus Luxembourg 2025: Accelerating AI & Tech for a Better Tomorrow
Nexus Luxembourg I 2:27 pm, 28th January
Nexus Luxembourg is set to return for its second
annual edition, a two-day tech symposium and exhibition focused on AI,
technology, and business. The event promises countless opportunities for
inspiration, learning, networking, meaningful encounters, and strategic
partnerships.
“In 2025, we expect over 6,500 attendees, more than
300 startups, and 200 speakers. We will also welcome 100+ exhibitors and host
over 1,000 guests at the Closing Seated Dinner,” announced Kamel Amroune, co-founder of Nexus. “In total, the event
will span 13,500 square meters, featuring 17 stages, including 10 dedicated
Knowledge Stages.”
With exhibitors, speakers, and attendees from 62
countries participating in its inaugural edition, Nexus is building on this
success to attract an even larger international audience to Luxembourg in 2025.
Nexus Luxembourg 2025 will also serve as a platform
to showcase Luxembourg’s vibrant tech and innovation ecosystem. The event
will highlight a dynamic blend of public and private initiatives in an
intimate, boutique-style atmosphere—allowing attendees to forge
meaningful connections with key players in technology, finance, and
policymaking.
“The success of the first edition has been recognized
by major institutional partners,” said Mike
Koedinger, co-founder of Nexus. “To elevate Nexus to an internationally
renowned event, the Government of Luxembourg and the City of Luxembourg have
committed to a long-term partnership. Additionally, the Luxembourg Chamber of
Commerce and Luxinnovation have joined as key partners. These four premier
institutional partners not only provide financial support but, more
importantly, bring their strategic expertise and extensive international
networks to the table.”
The opening ceremony will take place on June 17,
with the participation of:
•
HRH the Crown Prince of
Luxembourg,
•
Luc Frieden, Prime Minister of
Luxembourg,
•
Lydie Polfer, Mayor of Luxembourg
City,
•
Carlo Thelen, Director of the
Chamber of Commerce,
•
Mario Grotz, Director of
Luxinnovation (effective from March 1st),
•
An EU Commissioner (to be
confirmed),
•
And the event’s co-founders,
Kamel Amroune and Mike Koedinger.
On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Luc Frieden emphasizes that “Nexus Luxembourg 2025 facilitates the creation of international connections by attracting top-tier companies and talent to Luxembourg, while also providing Luxembourg-based businesses with a unique platform to showcase their innovative solutions.”
“Nexus Luxembourg 2025 contributes to place Luxembourg
firmly within the global tech and innovation landscape. Luxinnovation will
enrich the discussions at Nexus on how to seize the opportunities of the data
economy and face our sustainability challenges through innovation. We will
share inspiring insights and provide practical guidance to help businesses grow
and increase their productivity whilst facing a challenging and uncertain
global environment. We look forward to meeting with companies and helping them
translate new knowledge into concrete action.“ says Sasha Baillie, CEO of Luxinnovation.
“Nexus Luxembourg 2025 reflects the country and the
ecosystem's commitment to leverage data and technologies to drive innovation
and productivity. As the Chamber of Commerce, we are proud to be among the leading
institutional partner of this event in the heart of Europe. We are engaging our
vast international network and implementing matchmaking activities, to foster
exchanges and partnerships between decision-makers, entrepreneurs and
innovators from around the world. Nexus Luxembourg 2025 will showcase the
skills and expertise of the country's ecosystem as a dynamic, agile and
reliable data and tech hub.” Carlo Thelen, CEO of
Luxembourg’s Chamber of Commerce.
At Nexus Luxembourg 2025,
attendees, speakers, and exhibitors will have the opportunity to connect with policymakers
from the EU and Luxembourg, as well as engage in meaningful discussions
with regulatory authorities, including the CSSF, Luxembourg’s
financial regulator.
At Nexus, 300 startups will be selected to
exhibit and pitch at the Startup Demo Arena, presenting their ideas to a
live audience and, most importantly, to a panel of venture capitalists. The
winner will be announced during the Seated Dinner Ceremony on June 18.
In the 2024 edition, Codepresso, a Seoul-based HR SaaS startup from
South Korea, represented by Saebyuk Lee, was crowned the winner of the
inaugural competition.
“With a great number of key national and
international stakeholders attending, Nexus is also the perfect venue to meet
the startups who have successfully graduated from Luxinnovation’s Fit 4 Start
accelerator programme.” concludes Sasha Baillie, CEO of Luxinnovation.
While the symposium and exhibition will take
place on June 17 and 18, international delegations will enjoy a full-day
program on June 16, featuring visits to Luxembourg’s leading institutions.
Starting from 5 PM on June 16, attendees and
speakers can collect their badges in the city center, ensuring a seamless
check-in experience the following day. This early badge collection will also
grant access to the Pub Crawl, running from 5 PM to 11 PM,
offering a unique opportunity to network with both local and international
attendees and speakers in a relaxed setting.
On June 18, the day following the symposium,
students who have benefited from Sponsored Student Tickets will visit
the companies that sponsored their participation. This initiative allows them
to meet company leadership and gain insights into corporate culture. In 2024,
satellite company SES and insurance provider Foyer sponsored 200
student tickets, contributing to the next generation of talent in tech and
innovation.
